AN EXPERIENCED TEAM
Principal & CEO
Brian has significant leadership and management experience in the real estate industry. During his 15+ year career he has worked across multiple asset classes including office, industrial, healthcare, biotech, life science, retail, mixed-use, multifamily and single-family residential properties. He has been directly responsible for the entitlement, development, and redevelopment of over 4 million square feet of assets, valued at over $2B.
Prior to co-founding Cross Real Estate Advisors, Brian was the Vice President of Development at Locale Advisors where he was responsible for the strategic direction of all entitlement, development, and asset repositioning initiatives. During his time at Locale, Brian led the successful repositioning of over 800,000 square feet, converting traditional office, flex and R&D space into creative office and lifestyle campuses.
Previously, Brian was Director of Development at Kilroy Realty Corporation in San Diego where he managed the vertical development and entitlements of the firm’s San Diego portfolio. While at Kilroy, Brian managed the entitlement, programming, design and pre-construction of one of the largest projects in North County San Diego, One Paseo. Further, Brian successfully executed entitlement of 9455 Towne Centre Drive, Pacifica, and the development of The Heights at Del Mar.
In addition, Brian worked as a Project Manager at McCarthy Building Companies, Bocina Homes Corp, and Bocina Development in both commercial and residential general contracting.
Brian holds a BS from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, with a concentration in business. At Cornell, he was also a member of the Varsity Lacrosse Team. Brian is a LEED AP, and active in the San Diego chapter of both the Urban Land Institute and NAIOP.
Greg has a broad range of real estate industry experience, including development, construction, finance and technology. Prior to co-founding Cross Real Estate Advisors, Greg was Executive Vice President of Carrington Holding Company, a private investment management and real estate services firm, where he was responsible for managing the firm’s real estate technology division as well as founding the firm’s real estate development company.
Greg has significant financial expertise. As a Portfolio Manager for RNT Capital Management, Greg was responsible for evaluating and directing distressed investments in the $350M fund. Prior to RNT, Greg worked in the Leveraged Finance Investment Banking Group for Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he participated in structuring and originating over $5B of transactions.
Greg has also worked as a Project Manager for both the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, a top-ten national general contractor, and NVR Inc., a publicly traded home builder. In these roles he was responsible for managing projects across a variety of asset classes.
Greg holds a BS from Cornell University, and an MBA and Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, served as Vice Chairman of the Encinitas Planning Commission, and is active in the San Diego chapter of the Urban Land Institute and the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate. Greg is also an active investor and advisor to multiple early-stage PropTech companies.
